About the Institute

Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology (NIET), Greater Noida was established in the year 2001. It is a premier engineering and management institute in NCR region of the country. Greater Noida is a hub of global MNCs. The eminent visionaries of City Educational & Social Welfare Society, Meerut, started NIET with a vision to provide value based higher education. NIET has been awarded 39th Rank in Pharmacy & 145th Rank in Engineering in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2022 as awarded by Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Institute is accredited by NAAC with CGPA of 3.23 on four-point scale at ‘A’ Grade and NBA for (CSE, ECE, ME, IT, and B. Pharm). “NIET has become the First private institute in Uttar Pradesh to get Autonomous status by UGC”.

NIET was awarded by PTC as its 1st centre of excellence institute in India in 2018 to have established labs on industry 4.0. About Biotechnology Department

Department of Biotechnology, established in the year 2012 is presently imparting education for Bachelor and Master of Engineering degree in Biotechnology. The department has also introduced diploma course in clinical embryology. The department is NBA accredited and has well qualified teachers with a broad research experience. The students are enthusiastic and highly motivated. The mission of the department is to evoke a zeal in young minds to gain technical, analytical and employability skills. Department has well established laboratories to support research and teaching.

About Swadeshi Science Movement of India
(SSMD- Vigyan Bharti)

Swadeshi Science Movement is a Non-profit organisation, working for science popularization & implementation of modern technology & ancient sciences in India.

Prof. K I Vasu, a true nationalistic and a visionary science leader responsible for spearheading the foundation for framing the Swadeshi policies in Science, Technology and Education as the brainchild founder of present day "most famous Vigyan Bharati or Swadeshi Science Movement" in the country.

The foundation principle is for the development of Swadeshi Sciences. Vijnana Bharati conducts its activities through 22 independent units functioning in various parts of the country. It is a dynamic Science Movement with Swadeshi Spirit (Swadeshi: of one's own country), interlinking traditional and modern sciences on one hand, and natural and spiritual sciences on the other hand, adapted to national needs.
