About the course
The department has an excellent infrastructure to promote a congenial academic environment to impart quality education with well equipped laboratories and a team of qualified and dedicated faculty members. The department also has adequate skilled and self-motivated technical staff. With the formation of technical University in UP, the syllabi of the branch is tremendously augmented with many advanced courses with focus on the basics of analog & digital electronics circuits, circuit analysis & synthesis, machine analysis & design, control engineering, microprocessor & micro controller, and in-depth coverage of power systems with the emphasis on above areas. The students’ acquire analytical and practical skills to serve better in industrial, service and research organizational set-ups.
The department offers UG program in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a PG program (M.Tech. in Power Electronics). It has a plan to start an R & D centre to study power systems, Power Electronics and Control Systems along with application of Information Science in respect of planning, operation and maintenance of Power Systems. The Departmental faculty and staff of have created excellent links with industry, reputed academic institutes and research funding agencies and interact with a wide variety of companies ranging from large multinationals to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in areas as diverse as renewable energy, power generation and distribution, advanced medical electronic systems, and microelectronics. These linkages have helped to create a stimulating learning environment for undergraduate students to become leaders in the field of electrical engineering.
To be a leader in the field of Electrical Engineering through academic excellence and research leading to environmentally conscious social advancements.
1. To provide the students in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge for design and day-to-day problem solving.
2. To provide students the capability to employ state-of-art technologies for local and global needs in the field of Electronics and core Electrical Engineering.
3. To impart students the ability to provide cost-effective solutions for social needs with considerations for environment.
4. To continuously strive for excellence in research by way of industrial collaborations, teamwork and managerial skills.
5. To inculcate moral values and professional ethics for leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation.
