Eligibility for Admission Through SEE-UPTU

1. For admission to first year of B.Tech/B.Pharma, Candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Univeristy; Securing (i) minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in total of required subject combination (two compulsory & one optinal subject). This comibination is given in information brochure of SEE-UPTU 2008.

2. For admission to first year of MBA, candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized Univeristy; securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

3. For admission to first year of MCA, candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have minimum 40% (35% for SC / ST) marks in mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at bachelor degree level.

4. For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech, the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in Engineering course securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% (35% for SC / ST) marks inmathematics.

5. For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Pharm, the candidate must have passed three years. Diploma in Pharmacy course securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

6. The admission for NRI and Kashmiri migrates will be according to the norms laid down by the Govt of UP/AICTE,

7. This admission test is open only to the candidates who have passed the Qualifying examination from any institution located in UP. whose parents/Father/Mother are domicite of UP.

Admission procedure for direct second year B.Tech.
(For Diploma holders):

B.Tech in
CSE/IT/ECE/EN/ ME/CV/CH

3-years Diploma recognized by the boards of Technical Education, U.P. in any branch except Agriculture Engineering, Pharmacy and Architectue with minimum 60% marks.

Entrance Test :
SEE-UPTU, Lucknow

Fees as decided by U.P. Govt. Statutory Board/

NRI/Management Quota

Fiftten percent (15%) of approved intake of a course is filled under this category as per Govt. of U.P. and UPTU-guidelines. There is useually a great rush for management quota seats. The students need to register themselves early to establish priority.

(a) For admission B.Tech courses, the candidates must have passed intermediate examination or equivalent (10+2) with minimum 60% marks in total of required subject combination (2 compulsory and 1 optional subject) from any recognized Board/Univeristy with min. 40% in each paper.

(b) For admission in MCA course. the minimum qualification required is three years Bachelor Degree in any discipline with overall minimum 60% and the candidate must have passed Mathematics as one of the recognized University/Institue with minimu 40% marks.

(c) For admission in MBA course, the minimum qualification required is Three years Bachelor Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% from a recognized University/Institute.

(d) For admission in PGDM course, the minimum qualification required is Three Years Bachelor Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University/Institute.

(e) For admission in M.Tech course, the minimum qualification required is Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% from a recognized University/Insititute. MCA with minimum 60% is also eligible for admission in M.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering).
